Strangers buy car for man who walks 3 miles to work every day
A group of generous strangers teamed up to buy a young man in Texas a new car after learning he walked 3 miles to work every day, KBTV-TV reports.
Andy Mitchell decided to start raising money for 20-year-old Justin Korva after giving him a ride to work at a Taco Casa restaurant in Rockwall, Texas.
The 20-year-old told Mitchell he was trying to better himself and was saving up to buy a car, according to the station.
Mitchell was moved by his story and, with the help of some friends, started collecting money by setting up a donation box at a local restaurant.
Korva knew nothing about the “secret” fundraiser, until they handed him the keys to his new car on Friday.
